Words Workshop

Last week in the retreat with the Young Detroit Builders we had a workshop about artistic expression and I was part of the writing group... this is what I came with...

The first exercise was to write without stopping 2 minutes starting each line with the words "I wish..."

I wish I could fly
I wish my friend listen the song of the sun
I wish you, here, together
smile
I wish my son to come on a day like this
I wish to understand all languages, wishes, dreams, the kids had in their mind
I wish you good luck
I wish you the best
I wish this had a better end
I wish, you, I wish you. Today.

The second exercise was to write without stopping 2 minutes starting each line with the word "Once..."

Once I saw a bird singing in my mouth
I saw once a bright day in children's town
Once, my passion came non stop
Once I saw you walking on my side
Once I misunderstood you
Once I came home without a sigh
Once I forgot to say good bye
Once we will be again
Once upon a time the story ends
Once again
On

The third exercise was to write without stopping 1 minutes starting each line with the word "Now..." When done, write another string for an additional minute, beginning with "I remember..."

Now that I see you coming
Now I understand
Now my dreams remember you
Now life starts
Now I can say I love you
Now I can forgive the evil
Now nothing matters
Now just
I remember now your eyes
I remember when I say this
I remember stars falling in my hands
I remember the day the world started
I remember blue skies
I remember how to say good bye

The fourth exercise was to write without stopping 2 minutes a collection of statements each of which is a lie.

I don't like coffee
The world is coming to an end
I like mustard
I don't see any sense
The sky is to far away
The clouds are made of chocolate and the moon is a big piece of cheese
This is boring
This make sense
Time is never enough
I don't love
I don't believe
